SYNOPSIS
After the Universe chose them, the Deadlies were released upon Earth to ravage talents. The Deadlies understand that no one can have too much power, and their work ensures balance. Rita's Deadlies, the primary Deadlies in North America, are currently serving Wes, a bitter young woman envious of May, the first-chair violinist in an orchestra she performs in. Wes hires the Deadlies to steal May's talent for music, and with much hesitancy, the Deadlies ravage May's talent. After receiving May's talent, Wes discovers the void in her heart still is not filled. She tampers with the Deadly's magic, trying to fix herself, but her botched attempts throw the Deadly into a state of discord.
MEET THE CHARACTERS
RITA
Rita is the leader of the Deadly. With a powerful beast called the Ravager under her control, she is able to strip large populations of their talents. Even though she has a prickly personality, she has a soft spot for most of the clients her Deadlies serve.
MORA
Mora is the collector and organizer of the talents Rita collects. She has found talents love to stay in items that resemble their hosts, like dolls and statues of people. Mora is dedicated to her work and becomes frustrated when setbacks occur.
JONES
Jones is the newest Deadly in Rita's group. She is in charge of recruiting new clients as well as discussing clients' needs. Jones bends to the wills of Mabel and Rita, who are often at odds.
WES
Wes is the current client Rita's Deadlies are serving. Full of jealousy and contempt, Wes often causes issues and will stop at nothing to get her way.
MAY
May has a powerful passion for music, and her life revolves around her love to perform. After Wes hires the Deadly, her life changes forever.
